         “punk      rock      diva”

she wore the tallest platform heels
   with stripes of pink and yellow:
   voodoo mouth!

she painted up her eyes     with aquas and gewgaws
   in a way that       made you
   wonder   (?)

her hair was piled high     --     tortured
   into an outlandish beehive
   or a rodent’s nest              or an alien    space helmet

at her day job,
   she was the worst       waitress    . . .
   ever
